About Us
Centering Trans Joy in Tallahassee, Florida
Common Ground Closet is a free, gender affirming closet and resource hub for LGBTQ+ individuals in Tallahassee, Florida. Along with offering free gender affirming clothing, makeup, and toiletries at our physical location, we use donation based funding to provide necessities like binders and tucking garments to trans folks in our community who would otherwise be unable to access them. We also provide trans folks in the Tallahassee area and beyond with information on resources and organizations for trans people, tips for finding gender euphoria, and a growing list of trans-friendly businesses in the Tallahassee area.
What We Do
Our programming is created to center trans joy, exploration, and gender euphoria. We believe when individuals have simplified access to the resources they need to navigate their gender discovery, it gives them space to focus on the joy that comes with embracing their identity.
Trans Resources for Floridians
We've compiled resources to help trans individuals in Florida and Nationwide access HRT, grants, support groups, and so much more. We also provide a constantly growing list of trans safe spaces and gender affirming services in Tallahassee, Florida.
Free Gender Affirming Closet
The Common Ground Closet hosts a free gender affirming closet stocked with clothing, makeup, accessories, and more inside of Common Ground Books in Tallahassee, FL. Our closet is open Tuesday-Saturday from 12PM-8PM, and Sunday from 12PM-6PM.
Gender Affirming Priority Items Program
Our Gender Affirming Priority Items Program offers free binders, gaffs, transtape, bra inserts, packing boxers, period boxers, and scar cream to trans individuals in Tallahassee and Northwest Florida. See if our program is right for you.
